How we build

From useful idea to an operating system—and back through the loop.

Software development is not a perfect line. OlatechLab uses clear stages while expecting evidence, constraints and real operation to send the work back through earlier decisions.

  1. 01Idea
  2. 02Discovery
  3. 03Architecture
  4. 04Prototype
  5. 05Build
  6. 06Test
  7. 07Deploy
  8. 08Operate
  9. 09Improve

The exact route varies by engagement. A feasibility spike may move quickly between Architecture and Prototype; an operating product may cycle between Test, Deploy, Operate and Improve.

Working evidence

Review the thing being built.

Each stage should produce something that can be inspected: a problem frame, architecture decision, prototype, working increment, test result, deployment artifact or operational signal.

  • Scope and maturity stay explicit
  • Working increments are reviewed
  • Testing covers the delivered artifact
  • Deployment and recovery paths are considered
  • Operation informs the next change
